Tuckaseegee Brewing Cooperative

Coming to Jackson County, North Carolina

Tuckaseegee means "place or river of the turtle" in the Cherokee language.  It is a river that begins in the Panthertown Valley and flows past Western Carolina University in Cullowhee on its way to join with the Little Tennessee River near Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Our brewery is a concerted effort among academics, paddlers, and community members looking for some culture in the NOW WET! county of Jackson.  With the great beer town of Asheville to the northeast as inspiration, we hope to open a nanobrewery that will provide co-op members with high quality, fresh beers inspired by the region.  Let us know if you are interested!
